La serie habla de la desaparición de una idea, del animal salvaje idealizado, imponente y lejano, cuyo hábitat se va desvaneciendo. Los diez años que separan la toma de estas imágenes y su producción final representan la diferencia entre la belleza absolutamente exuberante e imponente de estos animales respecto al recuerdo que permanece.
Como si fuera una lámina ilustrada, los animales se vuelven objeto de estudio, atemporales y mágicos envueltos en una neblina. Ese entorno desvanecido representa el paso del tiempo y la distancia desde un primer mundo que va olvidando, desertificando y domesticando lo salvaje.
The series talks about the disappearance about an idea, about the idealized, imposing and distant wild animal, whose habitat is fading. In 2007 this big animals where captured by my camera but it took ten more years for this final image to reveal what I really saw. The final production represent the difference between the absolutely exuberant and imposing beauty of these animals compared to the memory that remains.
Looking like an old illustration, this animals become an object of study, timeless and magical, wrapped in a mist. This faded environment represents the passage of time and distance from a first world that is forgetting, desertifying and domesticating the wild.
